I have completed my Early Years Teacher Training and received the grading of Outstanding. I am very excited to be opening Jo's Childminding again in September 2016!
What we have been up to this month?
Autumn and Leaf Man
Autumn 2014
We discovered the story of Leaf Man and had a go at making our own Leaf people. Along with going on Autumn walks and collecting items for our table.
Stickman
We went to the local theatre and saw Stickman. It was an amazing show!
Traditional Stories
We have been reading and acting out some traditional stories, as well as reading some alternative versions.
We have so far covered:
The Three Little Pigs / The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig
Little Red Riding Hood / The Wolf's Story
Goldilocks and the Three Bears / Yours Truely, Goldilocks
More water play and woodland fun

We have been making the most of the lovely weather and have had more trips to the fountains, splash pad and using the swimming pool.
We also went to the Play in the Woods in Speckled Wood, playing in the woodland and stream. We made little gardens and followed the Gruffalo Child story around the woods.
Farm, Fountains and Fish

This month we have been out and about.
We have been to the Rare Breeds Centre, the beach and fountains on Bexhill seafront and Blue Reef Aquarium in Hastings.
We visited Prince's Park in Eastbourne for the first time and had lots of fun at the splash pad, we will definitely have a second visit!
Some of the little ones took part in the Toddle Waddle, walking around the duck pond 4 times, to raise money for the children's centre summer outing.

We had our own caterpillars which we observed growing, changing and turn into beautiful butterflies
